Finance Officer for Travel Group Cape Town, Western Cape R15 000 – R25 000 a month – Full-time Cape Town, Western Cape R15 000 – R25 000 a month Job details Pay R15 000 – R25 000 a month Job type Full-time Location Cape Town, Western Cape Full job description Job Purpose: The Finance Officer at our client who is a Travel group offering services like safari bookings, hotel reservations, marketing services and destination management services i is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations within the organization, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounts processing, ledger management, and reporting. Key
Responsibilities:
Financial Transactions: Process and prepare financial and business forms to check account balances, facilitate purchases, etc. Document Management: Maintain accurate and secure financial records in compliance with financial regulations and standards. Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, and deliver financial reports. Budgeting Support: Assist in budget preparation and manage expenses for assigned accounts. Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports reflecting the organization’s financial status. Audit Support: Assist with both internal and external auditing procedures. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial laws and regulations, staying updated on recent changes. Cash Handling: Oversee the organization`s cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with clients, vendors, and banks, and handle related correspondence. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Proven experience in a finance role. Working experience using Zero (essential) Working experience on Tourplan (preferred) Preferred Qualifications: Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an advantage. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role. Skills: Strong knowledge of financial and accounting procedures. Experience using Zero Advanced skills in MS Excel. Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles. High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
