Head Chef High-Energy Destination Bar & Kitchen | Kloof Street, Cape Town Were looking for a bold, creative Head Chef to lead the kitchen of one of Cape Towns busiest and most talked-about venues, right on Kloof Street the citys leading food and nightlife strip . This is not a quiet kitchen role. Its loud, fast, creative, and relentlessly busy. The kitchen delivers funky, elevated comfort food built for big services, bold flavours, and guests who come hungry and leave talking about it. The Role Youll take full ownership of the kitchen, driving menu creativity, execution, and team performance, while working closely with front of house to create a seamless, high-energy guest experience in a packed venue. What Youll Be Doing Leading a high-volume kitchen in a fast-paced Kloof Street destination Creating flavour-forward, modern menus with an elevated edge Delivering consistent, high-quality food during intense services Building, training, and motivating a strong kitchen team Collaborating closely with FOH to ensure flow, timing, and guest connection Managing food costs, stock, wastage, and suppliers Upholding exceptional standards of hygiene, organisation, and prep Keeping the food exciting, relevant, and in tune with the venues energy What Were Looking For Proven Head Chef or strong Senior Sous experience in busy venues A love for bold food and high-energy service Calm leadership under pressure Strong people skills and kitchen presence Hands-on, detail-driven, and commercially aware Someone who thrives in a packed room and fast-paced environment Why This Role?
