About the Role

A growing investment and acquisitions group is seeking a hands-on Accountant to support the financial and administrative functions across multiple companies within the group. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a business in an expansion phase, where the successful candidate will work closely with the Group CFO and gain exposure to multiple entities and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting function across multiple companies
  • General ledger management, journals, reconciliations, trial balance, and month-end processes
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and annual review files
  • Assist with budgeting and variance analysis
  • Prepare VAT and income tax submissions
  • Support external audits and assist with audit queries
  • Improve financial processes and maintain strong internal controls
  • Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • BCom Accounting qualification (SAIPA or similar)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working on Xero

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to management, as well as supporting business partners with various ad-hoc requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis and reporting on key financial data within the organisation
  • Assist with the management of financial processes, Group reporting and general financial administration
  • Balancing of monthly API and communication with internal IT support and Sage on relevant issues
  • Preparation of financial reports in the quarterly board packs and distribution
  • Monitoring adherence to financial policies and updating accounting policies handbook as needed

  • Interrogate Income Statements, Balance Sheet accounts as well Supplier ageing and Cash movement; assist in resolving anomalies
  • Cost analysis, reporting on any deviations found and suggesting improvements/cost savings
  • Assist with Vat returns, budgeting, month-end reporting process, auditing and any other ad-hoc requests in line with business requirements

Requirements

  • Bookkeeping diploma from a recognisable institution
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience (Multi company retail experience be advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Sage One Accounting and Sage Intacct
  • Computer literacy
  • Advanced MS Excel experience
  • High attention to detail in terms of accuracy, report presentation and standardized formatting

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage our outsourced accounting portfolio for allocated clients in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outsourced accounting and excellent technical skills, with a focus on client relationships and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full bookkeeping functions including processing and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review bank, creditor, and VAT reconciliations
  • Process payroll for allocated clients and ensure statutory compliance
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, provisional tax, VAT, EMP201, and related submissions
  • Prepare monthly management accounts for clients
  • Compile annual financial statements in line with relevant standards
  • Plan and manage all client deliverables and inter-functional activities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring compliance
  • Utilise CRM and practice management systems to track and document work
  • Support team members with technical guidance when required
  • Work proactively to meet deadlines while managing multiple clients

Requirements

  • Minimum 25 years experience in outsourced accounting or professional services environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, SARS and eFiling
  • Hands-on experience with Xero and/or Sage – essential
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with a client-focused mindset

Qualifications

  • BCom Accounting OR Equivalent SAIPA or CIMA qualification with Completed Articles OR Equivalent Experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, responsible for managing the full accounting function across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities
