Job Summary

Key Responsibilities: Assist Accountant in the full accounting function, up to trial balance for multiple companies (Income statement and Balance sheet). Pastel processing: monthly journal entries and daily cashbook entries. General ledger maintenance, ensure integrity and accuracy of accounts. Prepare journals, accruals and adjustments as necessary. Assist with month-end and year end closing activities. Inter-company recharges and transactions. Preparing monthly balance sheet recons (including schedules). Cashbook management: Daily cash management and bank reconciliation of multiple entities. Full debtors and creditors function. Assisting with audits and independent reviews for all group companies. Working with credit team to assist in monthly accounting and tracking of loans. Assist credit team with deal related queries. Liaising with various stakeholders (attorneys, banks, municipalities, vendors, etc.) Assist with Vat/Tax administration, working with Accountant and Tax practitioner. Compliance (CIPC, FICA, NHBRC). Fixed asset register maintenance. Experience and Skills Requirements: Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience. Computer literate in MS Office and advanced Excel. Pastel experience. Detail orientated. Good communication skills Experience in Finance or Property development industries advantageous.

Job Summary

Medium sized growing company based in Kenilworth Cape Town is looking for an Accounts Manager/Accountant to manage a group of books for the logistics industry. Career growth Opportunities. The role requires the candidate to wear multiple hats in that: It is client-facing, requiring the ability to engage, debate and work with and manage clients and their expectations It requires the candidate to fully understand accounting principles and be able to perform clients monthly accounting work as well as prepare year-end Annual Financial Statements in Caseware It requires the candidate to be highly conscientious, organized and efficient in terms of the administrative work that is also inherent in the role. It requires the candidate to be analytically minded and be able to analyze a set of monthly accounts and provide feedback to management as well as to clients. It requires the candidate to have sound knowledge of business principles and be able to communicate, advise and, at times, enforce such business principles Responsibilities  Monthly invoicing for services rendered Making payments on Standard Bank BOL for monthly expenses Running payroll and ensuring all employees are paid Monthly and bi-monthly PAYE and VAT submissions Preparing monthly cashbooks Producing monthly management accounts, reports, budget vs actuals etc and providing feedback to management on the analysis done. Monthly Cashflow management and analyses Other business admin incl. insurance claims handling and submissions, national bargaining council registrations, Daily communication with clients via whatsapp Fielding queries from clients and addressing them timeously Travelling with the team to meetings with clients for face-to-face feedback on their business Developing and teaching clients business acumen including sound business principles Ensuring clients follow sound business principles. Annual Responsibilities: – Annual IRP5 submissions and recons -Annual WCA submissions – Annual Financial Statement Preparation *Added bonus if candidate has a sound knowledge of taxation and is able to do income tax and provisional tax calculations and submissions. (No need to be a tax practitioner as candidate would be working under a registered tax practitioner) Candidate to have requisite experience with: Pastel Caseware Pastel Payroll Excel and ability to work with data – including pivot tables, vlookup’s etc Other requirements: BCom with Minimum SAIPA qualified otherwise demonstrable experience and track record in accounting Ability to travel and spend a night away from home from time to time. Ability to work daily from our offices in Kenilworth, Cape Town While we observe normal work hours, the role will at times require you to work and field calls from clients after hours or on weekend, if it is an emergency

Job Summary

You will be responsible will include but is not limited to: Consolidation of group financials and reporting Preparation of monthly management accounts Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Ensure compliance with statutory and tax regulations Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders Streamline and improve financial processes across the group Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail Strong communicator who works well in a team Able to manage multiple entities in a fast-paced environment Skills & Experience: Minimum of 24 years post-articles experience in a similar group accounting or financial reporting role Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS advantageous) Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) Qualification: Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent) Skills & Experience: Thinking in a commercial and entrepreneurial manner Networking and influencing people Ability to analyse information Qualification: BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 2 years experience in business investment Experience in auditing, banking or marketing will be an advantage Connect with us on

Consolidation of group financials and reporting Preparation of monthly management accounts Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Ensure compliance with statutory and tax regulations Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders Streamline and improve financial processes across the group Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail Strong communicator who works well in a team Able to manage multiple entities in a fast-paced environment Skills & Experience: Minimum of 24 years post-articles experience in a similar group accounting or financial reporting role Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS advantageous) Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) Qualification: Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent) Contact HAYLEY MULDER on

Accountant Head Office in Cape Town – Northern Suburbs Exciting Opportunity to Join our Dynamic Company and work within SA’s No. 1 Fast Food brand! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain Fixed Asset register, new builds, revamps & scrapping To process and reconcile Debtors Creditors – allocation/coding (capturing done by Creditors team) Cashbook and Petty Cash Journals – Monthly; Payroll; Depreciation Bookkeeping up to Trial balance Management Accounts – preparation, corroboration & follow up VAT Salary and Wages Credit cards Assist with coordination and planning of the annual budget process Maintenance of beneficiaries list on banking system Creating payments Daily bank deposits reconciliation and follow-up, cash tracking Maintain monthly audit files Food cost corroboration & follow up REQUIREMENTS: B. Comm Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Fluent in English Valid drivers licence 2-3 years bookkeeping experience Experience in Sage Evolution Experience with GAAP Retail Office will be advantageous Experience in the FMCG (restaurant) industry will be advantageous Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, and reconciliations Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial data Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs Handle VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies Reconcile balance sheet accounts Assist with internal and external audits Oversee fixed asset register and depreciation schedules Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies Liaise with external stakeholders (banks, auditors, SARS, etc.) Provide guidance and support to junior staff if applicable Minimum Requirements: SAIPA qualification 3 years post-article experience BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) Advanced Excel skills Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time management and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
