Job Summary

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in a production environment, including database design, optimization, and administration Expertise in both PostgreSQL and SQL Server, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and replication Experience working in Agile teams with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and Visual Studio Strong knowledge of Linux administration for database hosting and performance monitoring Skilled in database design, optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting slow queries Familiar with C#, Python, or PowerShell for scripting Knowledge of the Microsoft stack and ASP.NET MVC is a plus Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Exposure to Docker and infrastructure automation tools is desirable Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment Ready to join the squad? Theyre seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Developer to design, develop, and manage databases for a global telematics platform processing over 60 million tracking records daily. Youll focus on PostgreSQL and SQL Server, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability while applying database design best practices. Responsibilities include writing stored procedures, optimizing queries, performing Linux system administration, and collaborating in an Agile environment using Visual Studio, GitHub, and Jenkins. Youll enhance systems through coding, debugging, and troubleshooting, contributing to customer-facing solutions that drive real-time insights. This hybrid role, based in Cape Town, Southern Supburbs, blends on-site collaboration with remote flexibility, offering the chance to work with a diverse, global team dedicated to innovation and outstanding customer service. Job Summary

Command mission-critical PostgreSQL databases that handle 60 million tracking records daily Use T-SQL , PL/pgSQL , and SQL Server to support real-time telematics infrastructure Navigate Linux-based systems to ensure database stability and uptime Collaborate across dev, ops, and product teams using Agile , Jenkins , and GitHub Apply your skills in data design , performance tuning , and CI/CD pipelines Dive into C#, Python, or PowerShell as needed Support integration efforts with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP Skills & Experience: PostgreSQL & SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Performance Optimization) Linux System Admin basics Visual Studio, Jenkins, GitHub Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell, C#) Exposure to ASP.NET MVC, cloud architecture, and containerization tools (bonus) Qualification: Minimum 46 years of PostgreSQL experience in production environments Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience Contact Kauthar Marcus on
