About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability & Qualification Engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating product qualification testing, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the execution of product qualification testing
- Draft detailed qualification test procedures in compliance with relevant environmental and performance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704)
- Manage readiness of test infrastructure and liaise with both internal teams and external testing facilities
- Oversee and conduct qualification testing activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete data collection
- Analyse test results, identify root causes where issues arise, and provide engineering feedback to design teams
- Compile and present comprehensive qualification test reports for formal review and sign-off
Requirements
- BEng or BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in testing, reliability, or qualification engineering
- Strong knowledge of electronic engineering principles
- Hands-on experience with environmental and functional qualification testing methodologies
- Familiarity with aerospace and defence standards, including DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-704
Qualifications
- BEng or BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (required for this role)
