About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability & Qualification Engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating product qualification testing, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the execution of product qualification testing
Draft detailed qualification test procedures in compliance with relevant environmental and performance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704)
Manage readiness of test infrastructure and liaise with both internal teams and external testing facilities
Oversee and conduct qualification testing activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete data collection
Analyse test results, identify root causes where issues arise, and provide engineering feedback to design teams
Compile and present comprehensive qualification test reports for formal review and sign-off

Requirements

BEng or BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in testing, reliability, or qualification engineering
Strong knowledge of electronic engineering principles
Hands-on experience with environmental and functional qualification testing methodologies
Familiarity with aerospace and defence standards, including DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-704

Qualifications

BEng or BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (required for this role)
