About the Role
A Sales Representative is required in the private and public metering space, focused on selling electricity, water, and gas metering solutions and products to customers. The ideal candidate is a results-driven, technically minded individual who actively seeks out and engages customer prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote metering products and services
- Meet and exceed sales targets and budgets
- Analyse and investigate pricing, demand, and competition
- Confer with customers and technical staff to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements
- Conduct market research and cold-call potential customers to identify new markets and opportunities
- Create detailed proposals and formal bid documentation
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and solution demonstrations to prospective customers
- Communicate new product developments to existing and prospective clients
- Provide accurate sales reports and forecasts
- Manage the full sales cycle from inception to completion
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Requirements
- Relevant qualification
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a private-sector utilities environment
- Proven sales track record in the utilities and metering space (advantageous)
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills while maintaining professional customer relationships
- Ability to perform and grow in a competitive environment
- Fluency in English
