About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for creating and distributing brand content across social networks, managing campaigns and public interactions, and ensuring best practices for customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically create and distribute brand content across social networks
- Oversee brands’ social media accounts design and layout
- Manage campaigns and public interactions across all social outlets
- Ensure best social customer response practices
- Post content, ensure timely responses, manage social media programs, and carry out brand voice
- Attend group and partner events to ensure best social coverage
- Develop audience targeting strategy by campaign using interests, behaviours, lookalike audiences, retargeting, demographics
- Lead strategy and execution of paid social media campaigns, including objectives and ROI measurement
- Recommend content types driving impressions, engagements, and sales
- Report on social media analytics, campaigns, and social listening
- Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills (phone, email, presentations)
- Writing skills and ability to speak in the brand tone
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and technologies
- Strong platform knowledge to maximize campaigns
- Extensive social media knowledge and competitive awareness
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), WordPress, Sprinklr
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or applicable field (desirable)
