Job Summary
Cape Town – Western Cape – South Africa
- Design and develop high-quality UX and UI concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups for websites, apps, and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business objectives into user-centred designs.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to refine and enhance designs.
- Create user personas, customer journey maps, and detailed design specifications.
- Ensure design consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all digital touchpoints.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices in UX/UI and digital design.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure the feasibility of designs and provide support during implementation.
- Optimize existing digital products to improve usability, accessibility, and overall performance.
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital design, with a strong portfolio showcasing UX and UI projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, design systems, and UI patterns.
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Knowledge of responsive design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience designing for specific industries such as [insert relevant industries, e.g., e-commerce, healthcare, fintech].
- Knowledge of motion design or micro-interactions using tools like After Effects.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- Creativity and a user-first mindset.
- Ability to balance aesthetics with functionality in design solutions.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret user data and make informed design decisions.
