About the Role
Kethelo Group is seeking reliable and experienced drivers and van assistants to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the city, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up, while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3,500 kg (Code 10) in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up.
- Load and unload cargo safely and securely, following proper procedures to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, both inside and out.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes as assigned by the supervisor or dispatcher.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handling any inquiries or concerns.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, including logs of distances travelled, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
