About the Role
Rory Mackie & Associates is seeking an experienced International Imports and Customs Logistics Administrator to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our supply chain management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the international movement, storage, distribution, and administration of products for our client. Your expertise in managing supply chain documentation, contributing to strategic development, and ensuring timely delivery of products will be invaluable to our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the movement and storage of international inbound shipments
- Assist with domestic distribution of stock
- Manage and administer day-to-day logistics operations
- Contribute to the flow and management of supply chain documentation, processes, and deliverables of logistics partners and vendors
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service, increase sales, efficiency, and overall profitability of the business
Requirements
- Meticulous and highly organized
- Able to complete tasks accurately, systematically, and within rigid timelines
- Applies logic and commercial reason to decision making
- Able to manage competing priorities to commercial effect
- Self-motivated, displays resilience and persistence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective in a team-based environment and in support of team objectives
Qualifications
- Grade 12 qualification supported by at least 2 years experience in a similar role or warehousing/stock control
- Understanding of international import supply chain management
- Knowledge of domestic warehousing and courier operations
- Strong administrative skills
- Good numerical skills
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- Working knowledge of CRM and ERP system – MS Business Central would be an added advantage
