Job Summary
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- Matric with Technical Drawings as a subject.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Measuring Equipment such as Tape Measures and Verniers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired but not required:
- Experience working within a drawing office
Advantageous:
- Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
- SolidWorks experience, particularly in Sheet Metal & Weldments.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret various technical drawings and convert them into SolidWorks packages.
- Schedule assignments and communicate relevant details to the CAD department team.
- Actively participate in all production meetings.
- Create and generate complex drawings in SolidWorks, ensuring they meet required specifications.
- Conduct follow-up checks on completed drawings for accuracy.
- Develop Data Packages and cutting files.
- Understand and adhere to bending, laser cutting, machining, and welding procedures.
- Utilize all necessary measuring tools to ensure precision.
- Liaise with the quality department to ensure all drawings meet quality standards.
- Identify components and make necessary adjustments to drawings as required by other departments.
