PBT Group has a requirement for a highly skilled Testing Professional with 5+ years of experience in software testing, specialising in data migration and end-to-end testing across various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Demonstrated expertise in functional, regression, integration, system, and data validation testing. Strong background in backend validation using SQL and ETL processes, with a deep understanding of data models and data schema validation. Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality testing solutions in agile environments.

Duties /

• Analyse solution architecture, source-to-target mappings, and design documents to define and plan test activities.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases and SQL scripts for comprehensive validation of data migration processes.
• Conduct functional, system integration, and regression testing based on business and system requirements.
• Perform ETL testing by validating data loads between source and target systems, and ensure accurate mapping across all relevant data points.
• Execute end-to-end data validation and back-end testing using complex SQL queries.
• Create and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), defect reports, daily/weekly testing status, and test summary reports.
• Conduct thorough data analysis, cleansing, verification, and mismatch identification.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to provide testing updates.
• Liaise effectively with project managers, business analysts, developers, and UAT teams to align on testing scope and resolve defects.
• Validate database structures against Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).
• Test web services (e.g., SOAP) and data stage mappings to ensure proper integration with staging tables.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Testing/Agile Tools: Jira, Zephyr
• Database: MS SQL Server 2013
• Scripting: SQL Scripts
• Other Tools: Confluence, Box, MigFX (advantageous)
• Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows
• Productivity: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Qualifications/Certification:

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing (required)
• Certification in Data Analytics or Data Analysis (advantageous)
