Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Process cashbooks
- Provide support with Accounts Payable and other finance-related activities
- Ensure that all fixed asset related movements are timeously and accurately processed
- Monthly update of the fixed asset register
- Monthly review of depreciation calculations
- Prepare month-end financed asset journals
- Management of annual useful life and residual value review process
- Monthly update and distribution of capex spend schedules
- Conduct quarterly asset impairment review with business
- Liaise with external and internal auditors with respect to any deliverables or queries with respect to fixed assets
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
- Perform monthly reasonability tests to ensure that all transactions are valid and complete
- Process daily cashbooks
- Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly cash clearing Reconciliation
- Reconciling Inter-company Accounts
Requirements
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree
- National Diploma in Accounting
- 3-5 years experience in a Finance role
- Intermediate / Advanced level of excel skills
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy in financial records and transactions.
