HOTEL MANAGEMENT VACANCY Job Title : General Manager Location : Cape Town, Western Cape Type of Property : 5* Luxury Boutique Hotel & Award-Winning Fine Dining Restaurant Summary of key requirements : We are searching for a dynamic and visionary General Manager with a proven track record in luxury hospitality to oversee the operations of a sophisticated boutique hotel and fine dining restaurant in the heart of Cape Town. This is more than a management role — it’s a calling for someone who brings both operational excellence and genuine warmth to create unforgettable guest experiences in a soulful, design-led environment. Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Operational Leadership Oversee and align hotel and restaurant operations with business goals Coordinate cross-functional teams and liaise with the support office Ensure brand standards and innovation in guest experience delivery Guest Experience & Brand Representation Drive seamless guest experiences across all touchpoints Monitor and resolve feedback proactively Personally host key guests and inspections Financial Management Manage budgets, P&Ls, procurement, and cost controls Report on financial performance and contribute to long-term sustainability planning Team Leadership & Culture Recruit, develop and manage high-performing teams Champion a culture of excellence, accountability and growth Oversee departmental KPIs, training, and succession planning Sales, Marketing & Community Engagement Collaborate with marketing teams to drive sales and bookings Represent the property in local forums and neighbourhood initiatives Foster partnerships to strengthen the Kloof Street district brand Compliance & Operational Excellence Uphold health & safety, labour laws, and SOPs Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives Ensure impeccable hygiene, maintenance, and service delivery standards ✅ Minimum Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or Business 10–15 years of luxury hospitality experience, including 5 years in senior leadership Strong knowledge of boutique hotel and fine dining operations Deep understanding of the Cape Town tourism & culinary market Strong financial and commercial acumen Excellent knowledge of hospitality systems (PMS/POS/RMS) Hands-on approach with strategic thinking ability High emotional intelligence, guest-centric and solutions-driven Cape Town-based candidates preferred Valid driver’s license Salary & Package: Highly Negotiable & Competitive, depending on experience Live-Out role (Cape Town residents preferred) Opportunity to lead a top-tier, design-forward hospitality experience TO APPLY: Submit your CV , contactable references , and a recent head & shoulders photograph ASAP Please Note : If you do not receive feedback within 7 working days, kindly consider your application unsuccessful.
