Job Description

iqbusiness is seeking to employ a Salesforce Data Manager on a 12-month contract to collaborate with an international client from our offices in Welgemoed, Cape Town, Northern Suburbs. This is a hybrid role (3 days on-site; 2 days WFH). The Salesforce Data Manager is responsible for maintaining the integrity and usability of our Salesforce database to support alumni and donor engagement. This role requires hands-on experience with Salesforce (ideally in a nonprofit context), strong data analysis capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Forecast Data Manager will ensure accurate data entry, generate meaningful reports, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to optimise workflows and support initiatives such as alumni events and donor stewardship. This role combines technical expertise with people-focused support, making it central to delivering reliable, insightful, and empowering data solutions across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Systems Management: Create and maintain developer and training files and other internal procedural documents. Guide systems-related projects or projects about CRM strategy, to collect and track key data points. Collaborate with the Finance Department, providing reports and reconciling information. Data Management & Analysis (Supporting IAA, Clubs and Communities of Interest): Responsible for data entry related to alumni members in the IAA, clubs and communities of interest, ensuring the data is accurate, current and consistent across systems. Develop & enforce data quality procedures Support IAA and alumni club activity Generate report requests by staff pertaining to Salesforce. Segment and pull CRM alumni lists and reports. Execute mailings, invitations, and other mass communications. Track and document alumni attendance at events. Data Management & Analysis (Supporting annual giving, prospect management and gift recording) Responsible for all data entry and gift processing, gift recording, and pledge reminders relating to donors, including ongoing maintenance and integrity of the database, ensuring the data is accurate, current and consistent across systems. Develop & enforce data quality procedures (e.g. naming conventions). Advise and build automated engagement & stewardship plans, email journeys, rules, and other automations to support multi-touch outreach and moves management. Responsible for the generation of data and report requests by staff pertaining to Salesforce. Segment and pull donor lists for mailings, invitations, and other purposes. Send invitations to donor events, track rsvps and record attendance at events. Confirm matching donation requests and correspond with donors and companies regarding matching gifts Ensure timely delivery of gift receipts. Enter donor category information and review wealth screening data. Handle all data with tact and discretion, recognising the confidential nature of IMDs business Minimum Requirements: 5 years of experience within a Data Analytics role supporting actionable insights Hands-on Salesforce experience, ideally in the nonprofit sector. Advanced MS Office proficiency Ability to design, implement, and manage efficient CRM processes. Familiarity with email marketing tools is a plus. Previous experience working in the nonprofit sector will be advantageous Skills required: Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Project management and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
