AESTHETIC THERAPIST- SENIOR

V&A WATERFRONT – Cape Town, Western Cape (ZA)

START: 01 December 2024

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS

• Tuesday – Friday | 09:00 – 18:00 / 10:00 – 19:00 (Seasonal Shifts)
• Saturday 09:00 – 14:00
• CLOSED Sundays, Mondays & Major Public Holidays

REPORT TO: Employer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. South African citizen OR valid working permit for employment in SA (we do not offer permits)
2. CIDESCO / ITEC / SAAHSP / CIBTAC / City & Guilds / BABTAC or internationally recognized accreditation
3. DIPLOMA Health & Skin Care / Beauty Therapy / Somatology / Cosmetology
4. BONUS – Dermal Aesthetics (not minimum requirement but nice to have!)
5. Beautifully groomed, manicured and looking the part of an Aesthetician
6. Confident and knowledgeable on advanced aesthetic services & trends

EXPERIENCE:

1. At least THREE years post-graduation experience (not including work integrated learning / experiential learning) within the Spa/Beauty or Aesthetics industries
2. Senior Therapist / Lead therapist experience preferred
3. Cruise Ship OR international employment experience is favorable but not a deal-breaker
4. high-end salon or aesthetic therapy experience
5. Experience working with active ingredients

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

1. Confident and skilled in all standard SKIN CARE services including Waxing & Tinting where required
2. Confident performing a detailed skin analysis and maintain record of improvements
3. Confidently perform advance skin care treatments, peels and resurfacing treatments
4. Skin penetrating treatments including micro-needling / nano needling / Derma Pen / Skin Pen / CIT
5. Ability to effectively prescribe relevant home care to clients accordingly
6. Develop a treatment plan suited to client`s concerns and conditions
7. Retail confident
8. Confidently re-book clients where applicable (this is an established vacancy so there are take-over clients to retain)
9. Strong team dynamic, but able to work on your own without supervision
10. Reliable & accountable – personally & professionally
