Job Summary

2 Staff Drivers: Permanent Position: Cape Town

The search is for two amazing Staff Drivers who can drive a range of vehicles which will include manual and automatic: Bakkie + 12/14-Seater Bus + in addition can also assist in the Administration Department.

• Your good communication skills should include an ability to converse in English and Xhosa / Afrikaans).
• Good sober habits as well, professional and responsible individual who can deal with any level of staff as they transport the clients President, to Board members, Stakeholders and Staff.
• You might be required to also transport luggage/goods, so there can be a physical element to loading these, but not all the time.
• This will be a permanent role (there will be a probation period) and its mandatory to be part of our pension fund and medical aid (unless they are a dependent on a spouse/partners medical aid).

• You would need to work flexible hours, so for example when you do staff collections, you need to be here by about 6:30 in the morning already to collect the van and then go and get staff at the collection spots to bring them to office. The driver then who does the drop offs in the afternoon leaves here at 16:30 to drop staff off at the drop off spots then comes back to collect his vehicle. Weekend and after-hours work are required as needed.
• You would need your own vehicle not to use for business purposes, but to be able to get to the office on their own without public transport needed. The office will be based in Plattekloof Cape Town.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform maintenance and safety checks on vehicle before transporting passengers.
• Complete the Logbook daily.
• Ensure the vehicle is refuelled and serviced according to the service time limit.
• Coordinate and collect all company mail, passports and visas that have been extracted from the Asset Care Help Desk.
• Prioritise and plan activities accordingly with the Line Manager.
• Execute tasks according to the final plan.
• Ordering and assisting with issuing of stationery to staff.
• Assist with bulk photocopying, binding, printing and laminating for all departments on request and according to Asset Care Desk requests.
• Assists with the issuing of manuals for various provinces.
• Assists with stocktaking of stationery monthly.
• Prepares the packaging of manuals and other items for Globe Flight.

Experience and Education needed:

• Grade 12
• Valid Drivers license: Code C1 or EC1 with a driving record.
• Valid Professional Drivers Permit: (G, P): PDP
• 3 to 5 Years experience as a PDP Driver specialized in transporting Executives and Staff.
• 1 to 2 Years experience in administration
• Own Vehicles Essential
