Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Technical Designer with a strong background in furniture design and proficient in Rhino 3D. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing technical drawings and models that support both the creative vision and practical construction of custom furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and produce detailed technical drawings and 3D models using Rhino software.

• Translate conceptual designs into production-ready drawings and specifications.

• Work closely with designers, engineers, and production teams to ensure feasibility, functionality, and aesthetics.

• Assist in the prototyping and development process of furniture pieces.

• Ensure all designs meet material, structural, and manufacturing standards.

• Maintain organized documentation of designs, revisions, and production details.

• Provide input on materials, hardware, and construction methods.

• Troubleshoot design and production issues as they arise.

Requirements:

• Qualification in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, or related field.

• 3+ years experience in a similar technical design role within the furniture or interior design industry.

• Proficient in Rhino 3D; experience with additional software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

• Strong understanding of furniture construction, materials, joinery, and manufacturing processes.

• Ability to read and create technical drawings and 3D visualizations.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

• A portfolio showcasing technical drawings and 3D models of past furniture projects.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with CNC or woodworking machinery.

• Knowledge of sustainability principles in furniture design.

• Project management skills.
