The Principal Technologist is the top-tier expert responsible for strategic planning, technical innovation, and organizational leadership. This role oversees the most complex projects and drives the organization’s engineering vision.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY.

Surveying and Data Collection

• Define methodologies for large-scale data collection and validation.
• Oversee and approve critical survey analyses that shape major projects.

Design and Drafting

• Lead the development of groundbreaking engineering designs and methodologies.
• Ensure all designs align with long-term organizational goals and global best practices.

Project Management Support

• Directly oversee the execution of high-value projects, ensuring success in scope, cost, and time.
• Implement strategies to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

Field Inspections and Quality Control

• Set and enforce quality assurance standards across all projects.
• Approve critical project milestones and resolve high-level technical issues.

Technical Report Preparation

•   Author executive-level reports and publications to share insights and achievements.

Collaboration and Communication

• Build relationships with industry leaders, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Serve as a mentor and advisor to the organization’s technical teams.

EDUCATION, LANGUAGE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering Technology
• Pr. Tech professional registration

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 15+ years of experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• A specialist knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the relevant discipline of engineering and good established requirements of all other disciplines.
• Acknowledged and proven specialist knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Extensive technical skills in engineering, management of projects and business development opportunities
