Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Sous Chef Restaurant – Centurion Requirements · Matric · 3-5 years’ experience in a busy, professional kitchen · Previous experience as a Senior Comis or Junior Sous Chef preferred · Strong cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards · Ability to lead and train kitchen staff · Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays · Ability to work under pressure · High attention to detail · Good time management and organizational skills · Food portfolio Responsibilities · Assist Head Chef with daily kitchen operations · Supervise kitchen service to ensure speed, quality and consistency · Ensure all dishes prepared to recipe and presentation standards · Manage prep lists and service planning · Step into Head Chef role when required · Assist with staff training, development and discipline · Lead by example during busy service periods and ensure clear communication between kitchen sections · Enforce health, safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) · Ensure proper food storage, stock rotation and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment · Assist with ordering, stock control and supplier deliveries · Minimize wastage and control food costs · Conduct stock counts when required Package on offer Salary – R 15 000 – R 23 000 pm DOE Starting date: ASAP
