Job Summary
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our clients dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Prepare the audit file.
- Contribute to the preparation of the corporate annual financial statements.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Assist in the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
- Update the companys investment position by consolidating fund managers reports on a monthly basis.
- Record, process, and update investment data transactions for monthly reporting.
- Record, process, and update insurance contract liabilities and assets.
- Review bank reconciliations and cash flows.
- Review payment requisitions and release payments on the banking system.
- Review and approve supplier invoices.
- Prepare journals.
- Report variances from the budget.
- Prepare and/or file VAT201.
- Co-develop best practices, systems, and procedures to achieve business goals.
- Assist with ad hoc assignments as requested by the Heads of Finance or CFO.
- Keep the Head fully informed of any adverse, unusual, or changed circumstances that may affect the corporations financial position.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.
- At least 3 years of post-article experience in a finance unit in a supervisory role. Preference will be given to individuals from the financial and/or insurance industry.
- Excellent knowledge of information technology, including advanced Excel and AX Microsoft Dynamics or similar accounting systems.
- Adequate financial statement analysis skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude, including practical skills to identify issues and develop creative solutions.
- High degree of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Analytical skills with strict attention to detail.
- Deadline-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Business acumen to strategically target time and resources to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Delivery-focused approach to translate business objectives into actionable, organized plans and ensure successful implementation.
- Conflict resolution skills to identify and advocate for mutually beneficial solutions.
- Team participation by providing relevant input to discussions for issue clarification and solution development.
