About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Centurion to join our team as a General Manager – Event Security. As a seasoned security professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ events, managing the recruitment and training of event staff, and overseeing large projects. If you have a proven track record in event management and security, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage physical wellbeing and rights of people at sports, cultural, religious, and other events
  • Develop key performance goals and manage the performance of staff
  • Create and implement strategies for business growth
  • Monitor security compliance during live events and provide on-the-ground support when necessary
  • Lead post-event security debriefs to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement
  • Provide expert advice on security technologies, crowd management, and emergency response planning

Requirements

  • Proven experience in events management of the physical wellbeing and rights of people at sports cultural, religious and other events
  • Minimum 10 years managerial experience in Events management
  • PSIRA certification – Grade A; or Special Events Qualification
  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification or relevant qualifications
  • Security related or similar relevant qualifications
  • Knowledge of SASREA
  • Knowledge of Aviation (CAA)
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong administration skills

Qualifications

  • Minimum 20 years managerial experience in security
  • PSIRA certification – Grade A; or Special Events Qualification
