About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Developer to join our team as a Centurion. As a key member of our experienced team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our infrastructure and tools to ensure seamless delivery of our services. With a strong focus on automation, security and continuous integration, you will play a critical role in driving our technical strategy forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain our infrastructure and tools to ensure seamless delivery of our services
- Develop and deploy automated scripts using Python, Ruby, bash and other scripting languages
- Administer Linux (Ubuntu) and Docker environments, as well as Nginx (DB system administration)
- Manage AWS and dedicated hosting, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Collaborate with the team to implement configuration management and continuous integration using Chef and Jenkins
- Ensure strong focus on automation, security and continuous integration
- Solve difficult problems every day, handle complexity, enjoy system design and handle pressure well
Requirements
- At least an Honours degree (or 4 year equivalent) with a focus on software
- Strong experience within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on investments and long-term insurance
- Solid DevOps experience of at least 510 years
- Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu), Docker, Nginx (DB system administration)
- Scripting skills in Python, Ruby, bash
- Experience with AWS and dedicated hosting
- Strong understanding of continuous integration (Jenkins) and configuration management (Chef)
