About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Centurion to lead our structural engineering team, with a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills. As a key member of our construction project team, you will be responsible for overseeing design and execution of structural works, while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute/oversee designs and have attention to detail
• Understand BOQs and how to populate BOQs
• Manage project schedules, understanding the interconnectivity of various activities and maintain the schedule for structural works
• Apply loading codes, including crane and seismic loading (advantageous experience)
• Design structural steel connections, reinforced concrete structures, masonry structures, and timber structures
• Check drawings and bending schedules

Requirements

• Technically strong with a solid understanding of first principle calculations
• Experience in most of the following areas:
• Structural steel design
• Reinforced concrete design
• Masonry design
• Timber design
• Loading code application (crane and seismic loading)
• Ability to work autonomously
• Mentorship skills for a young team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
