Job Summary
Job & Company Description:
A market leader in the insurance industry seeks a young and driven Technical Accountant to join their finance team based in Centurion.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Calculate and compare ratios
- Splitting of premiums collected
- Claims payments and recons
- Compiling and distribution of broker statistics
- Allocations of deposits from premium bank accounts
- Recons of deposit and cost accounts
- Distribution of broker packs
- Issuing of deposit slips
Candidates who think of themselves as driven, meticulous on attention to detail and consencious in follow ups and feedback are invited to apply for this opportunity.
Education:
BCom in Accounting or equivalent
Skills & Experience:
- 2 to 3 years` experience in a technical / operational Accountant role within the insurance industry
- OR Completed articles working with Insurance clients
- Premiums experience is NON-NEGOTIABLE
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Sound knowledge and understanding of related financial legislation and processes
- Financial acumen
- Strong personality
- Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
- Team player
