The Role:
To supervise all Group Parts Warehouse Operations activities by planning/ controlling/ analysing/ coordinating and implementing outbound logistics processes.  Developing and optimizing outbound logistics and manpower resources, in order to meet the outbound KPI’s ensuring Dealer service levels and satisfaction.

+/- 5-month Contract 

Duties:

• Ensuring the availability of necessary materials and equipment and regularly checking machinery to avoid production interruptions.
• Monitoring trends in areas with small bin and rack deficiencies, identifying causes, and implementing corrective actions to reduce damages and incorrect supplies.
• Planning and overseeing the warehouse operations to ensure daily cut-off times and targets are met.
• Developing staff by setting work-related objectives, evaluating performance, and providing specialized training to maximize individual potential and maintain high productivity and motivation levels.
• Arranging ongoing training to ensure optimal utilization of manpower resources.
• Monitoring security systems in the warehouse to ensure material security.
• Ensuring work areas are free of debris and obstacles, promoting health and safety standards, and ensuring strict adherence to these standards.
• Assisting in the creation of procedures and work instructions through collaboration with other departments and providing necessary training.
• Ensuring adherence to Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental standards and procedures by staff.
• Contributing to a climate of industrial stability and peace.
• Participating in departmental budget meetings.
• Actively promoting continuous improvement and adherence to the company’s code of conduct by managing performance, counseling, and motivating staff.
• Planning and monitoring warehouse layouts to ensure efficient material flow in collaboration with the Centurion industrial engineer.

Qualifications:

• A recognised 3-year National Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Experience needed

• Minimum 5 years Warehouse supervisory experience
• 1 year SAP operational experience
• Warehouse planning experience essential
• Lifting machinery operating experience
