About the Role

We are seeking a confident and service-driven Front of House Professional to join our team at Hospitality & Outdoor’s Guest House in Colchester, Eastern Cape. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, promoting activities and services, and supporting lodge operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as concierge and confidently promote activities such as game drives and local experiences.
• Use check-in as a key sales opportunity, guiding guests through available options.
• Provide professional, attentive dinner service, ensuring guests enjoy a warm, memorable, personalised dining experience.
• Act as Deputy to the General Manager when the GM is off shift.
• Assist the Front Office by managing written communication with guests.
• Maintain smooth guesthouse operations and uphold service standards.

Requirements

• Proven hospitality experience in guest-facing roles
• Strong waiter experience (non-negotiable)
• Excellent sales mindset and confidence in upselling
• Professional, well-groomed presentation
• Solid computer literacy
• Excellent English (written & verbal)
• German language skills beneficial
• Valid driver’s license
• Clear criminal record

Salary & Benefits

• Package ZAR 13,000–15,000 per month
• Tips Commission on activities sold (approx. ZAR 2,000–5,000)
