Job Description
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape. You will be responsible for leading the engineering function to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective asset operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead and manage the engineering function.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications and safety regulations.
- Oversee the safe installation, operation and maintenance of plant, equipment, buildings and structures.
- Implement and manage an effective maintenance management system.
- Analyse condition monitoring data, maintenance feedback and breakdowns, and define corrective action plans.
- Manage spare parts strategies to support equipment reliability.
- Control and report on the engineering budget.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- GCC Mines & Works Certificate
- 5 years’ experience as an Engineer (Post GCC) with extensive opencast experience
- Proven understanding of predictive and planned maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of crushing, screening and conveying equipment, including fine powder milling and packaging.
