Job Summary
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer – Structures (Water) to join our client`s team, working on SANRAL projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on significant infrastructure projects, helping to ensure the successful completion of water-related structures.
As an Assistant Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising construction activities related to water structures
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and ensure timely reporting on project status
- Collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to address any construction-related issues
- Review and verify construction drawings, material submittals, and other documentation
- Assist in measuring and certifying completed work
- Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation
- Participate in project meetings and provide inputs for decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelor`s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Must be Professionally Registered
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically in water projects
- Experience working on SANRAL projects is a must
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, principles, and materials related to water structures
- Familiarity with relevant engineering software and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
