Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Perform Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on various metal materials, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Prepare and clean workpieces to ensure proper welding conditions, including fitting, grinding, and surface preparation.
- Inspect welded joints to ensure the quality, strength, and aesthetics of the welds meet company standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment and tools to ensure proper function and safety.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Assist with the assembly of structural components, piping systems, or other items as required by the project.
- Document and report progress, challenges, and materials used during welding tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an FCAW Welder.
- Relevant Trade Test certification.
- Valid welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
- Experience with various types of metals, including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to welding and fabrication.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting ability.
