Job Summary

Hire Resolve`s Client is seeking to hire a Finance Consultant to join their team in Durban. The summary of this role is to market and sell the bank`s asset-based finance products, including residential properties, small equipment, and motor vehicle finance for individuals within the respective region. Ensure excellent service to customers and adherence to the banks policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Finance Administration

  • Prepares finance advances submissions in terms of procedural guidelines and full compliance with the banks requirements.
  • Finalizes approved deals by following the banks procedural guidelines.
  • Undertakes invoicing and recovery of all fees due to the bank.
  • Interacts proactively with other departments to manage workflow.
  • Updates deals on the computer system as and when required.
  • Handles all administrative requirements in line with the banks policies for approved deals and interacts with clients to obtain signatures post-finance approval.
  • Ensures that all required information from clients is obtained promptly.
  • Facilitates the signing of legal agreements at the clients convenience.
  • Keeps clients informed of every stage of their finance transaction and ensures the process is followed proactively.

Sales and Marketing

  • Ensures finance sales budgets are met.
  • Grows the banks finance book in residential property, small equipment, and motor vehicle finance by sourcing new clients and servicing existing clients with additional financing/services.
  • Acquires new clients through referrals from existing clients and leads generated internally.
  • Cross-sells all the banks products by forwarding leads to relevant departments.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with clients and maintains them over time.
  • Attends to all clients financial requests and queries.
  • Provides efficient and effective service to clients at all times to promote the banks services.
  • Ensures motor vehicle applications are submitted within 24 hours.
  • Handles difficult client queries through face-to-face communication or client visits, addressing concerns/complaints professionally and providing effective solutions to benefit both the client and the bank.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A BCom degree or relevant qualifications in Business Management is required.
  • A valid drivers license is essential.
  • FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act) compliance is advantageous.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 35 years experience within a financial services institution in a sales position.
  • General banking experience is an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the banks asset-based finance products.
  • Banking systems and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Familiarity with bank policies and procedures, including credit and legal policies.
  • Understanding of the National Credit Act (NCA) and FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act) policies and procedures.
