• To deliver a full range of consulting and compliance related taxservices to the company and its subsidiaries, in terms of prevailing tax laws and regulations.
• To secure for the company and its subsidiaries optimum tax advantages through a thorough understanding of the business operations and processes and proposed restructures.

• Provide tax opinions and advice to Finance Heads and Executives in the business.
• Give oversight to the tax functions in other jurisdictions, primarily Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
• Provide tax planning and advice to all business operations.
• Develop and implement tax strategies and structures which will maximise tax savings.
• Ensure tax compliance across the company. Ensure that Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE obligations are carried out accurately and timeously.
• Prepare / review tax returns for the major subsidiaries of the business.
• Interact with SARS on specific issues.
• Interact with external advisors on tax technical matters where appropriate.
• Tax accounting for financial reporting purposes.
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
• Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
• Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects

Qualifications, Competencies & Experience 

• Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Post graduate qualification in Income Tax.
•  5 to 10 years of tax experience, including large corporate tax experience.
•  Tax experience in multiple SADC jurisdictions an advantage.
• Good knowledge of tax accounting , tax compliance in the area of tax returns (VAT, Income Tax, Employees tax etc)
• Good knowledge of prevailing tax legislation.
• Knowledge of tax software.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Able to build and maintain relationships at executive level.
• Strong influencing skills.
• Sound judgement.
