Durban: Junior Estimator

Responsibilities: Compile accurate estimates for imports and exports across all transport modes (Air, Ocean and Road). Request and verify rates from global agents, carriers and service providers. Ensure all estimates align with client rates in CargoWise and Forwarding Instructions. Conduct quality checks on estimates and maintain pricing accuracy. Provide administrative and proposal support to the Business Development department. Assist with global agent rate negotiations to secure competitive pricing. Maintain and update client rate schedules, communicating buy and sell rates to Operations. Prepare and submit tenders within deadlines, ensuring best pricing and profitability. Resolve queries related to estimates or rates and communicate changes to relevant parties. Save and manage approved estimates and supporting documents in CargoWise (EDOCS). Requirements: Matric/Senior Certificate (essential). Minimum 2 years experience in Freight Forwarding and Clearing. Knowledge of Incoterms 2010, Customs Tariffs and Port Charges. Strong administrative and communication skills. High computer literacy (CargoWise experience highly advantageous).
