Responsibilities: 

• Compile accurate estimates for imports and exports across all transport modes (Air, Ocean and Road).
• Request and verify rates from global agents, carriers and service providers.
• Ensure all estimates align with client rates in CargoWise and Forwarding Instructions.
• Conduct quality checks on estimates and maintain pricing accuracy.
• Provide administrative and proposal support to the Business Development department.
• Assist with global agent rate negotiations to secure competitive pricing.
• Maintain and update client rate schedules, communicating buy and sell rates to Operations.
• Prepare and submit tenders within deadlines, ensuring best pricing and profitability.
• Resolve queries related to estimates or rates and communicate changes to relevant parties.
• Save and manage approved estimates and supporting documents in CargoWise (EDOCS).

Requirements: 

• Matric/Senior Certificate (essential).
• Minimum 2 years experience in Freight Forwarding and Clearing.
• Knowledge of Incoterms 2010, Customs Tariffs and Port Charges.
• Strong administrative and communication skills.
• High computer literacy (CargoWise experience highly advantageous).
