About the Role
Network Finance is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead our finance function in Durban North. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of finance, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. They will also provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full finance function, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, etc.)
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making
- Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team
- Liaise with external auditors, bankers, and other financial stakeholders
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Support business growth initiatives through financial planning and analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (essential)
- Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CIMA, or ACCA (preferred)
- 8–10 years’ proven experience in a financial management role
- Strong knowledge of South African financial regulations and tax legislation
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CIMA, or ACCA
