What You will Be Driving

• Manage the full finance function: debtors, creditors, reconciliations & reporting
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Ensure strong compliance, internal controls, and risk management
• Mentor, develop, and uplift the finance team
• Partner with management to identify efficiencies and unlock continuous improvement
• Provide sharp, data-driven insights to support business growth

What You Bring to the Table

• BCom Accounting
• Minimum 10 years in a financial management role
• Experience in the automotive or wholesale sector (advantageous)
• Strong command of financial systems and reporting principles
• A confident, mature, proactive personality
• Proven leadership experience and a passion for team development
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with meaningful analysis and commentary.
• Monitor income, expenses, risks, and opportunities to improve business performance.
• Strengthen internal controls, enhance processes, and ensure compliance across operations.
• Lead cost centre reporting through Xero, maintaining accurate revenue and cost allocations.
• Oversee ledgers, VAT returns, reconciliations, and invoicing with precision.
• Manage cross-border transactions and liaise with the SARB for compliance.
• Collaborate with international finance teams on inter-company invoicing and reporting.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Degree or newly qualified CA(SA).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial management role (beyond audit).
• Proven background in a services-based industry (not product-focused).
• Strong people management experience.
• Available immediately or on short notice for a fixed-term contract.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, models, analysis).
• Xero experience (non-negotiable).
• Excellent financial reporting, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
• Commercially astute with the confidence to challenge and influence.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple stakeholders.
