Hire Resolve`s client is currently seeking a skilled Process Safety Engineer to join their team at a Chemical Manufacturing Company in KZN. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of process safety standards and procedures to prevent incidents and ensure compliance with regulations in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement process safety procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
• Conduct process safety assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Provide technical expertise and support for process safety-related projects and initiatives.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and patterns related to process safety performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process safety improvements and enhancements.
• Conduct training and workshops for employees on process safety practices and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Stay current on industry trends and regulations related to process safety in the chemical manufacturing sector.

Requirements:

• Bachelor`s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process safety engineering in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of process safety management systems 
• Familiarity with risk assessment tools and techniques 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams
