Durban: Restaurant Manager

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations and ensuring an efficient, customer-focused environment. This role includes leading and developing the service team, maintaining operational standards, and supporting management initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in service quality, staff performance, and overall customer experience. They will also assist in maintaining controls and ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficient service delivery. Manage, train, and motivate front-of-house staff. Maintain high customer service standards and manage escalations. Oversee staff scheduling, attendance, and performance. Ensure hygiene, safety, and operational standards are consistently met. Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination. Conduct cash-ups and manage daily operational controls. Handle opening and closing procedures. Support senior management in implementing service improvements. Monitor service flow and ensure effective floor management. Uphold company policies and operational processes. Ensure smooth communication between kitchen and floor teams. Contribute to a well-organised and professional work environment.
