The ideal candidate will be experienced in trims procurement or coordination within the retail supply industry and will have a strong understanding of garment construction, production timelines, and supplier management.

Key

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of all garment trims and accessories including buttons, zips, labels, threads, tags, etc.
• Liaise with local  trim suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery aligned with production schedules
• Ensure trims meet quality standards, brand specifications, and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate records of trim orders, inventory, and supplier correspondence
• Work closely with internal departments such as design, production, and QA to anticipate trim needs and troubleshoot any supply issues
• Follow up on outstanding deliveries and expedite orders when necessary
• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock forecasting to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Ensure the trim library is kept up to date and that new trims are catalogued correctly
• Assist in costing and budgeting for trims per style or client requirement
• Manage the approval process of trim samples with clients and internal teams

Requirements:

• Matric certificate (a relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion/Textiles/Supply Chain is advantageous)
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within the clothing or textile industry
• Solid understanding of garment trims and accessories
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational and planning abilities
• Computer literate (Excel, Outlook, Sync)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and a hands-on approach

Remuneration: R10 000 – R15 000
