Eastern Cape: Automotive Project Sales Estimator posted by Staff Solutions

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Project Sales Estimator. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of projects, preparing detailed proposals, and supporting the sales team in closing deals. 
 
Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to determine the scope of work. 
• Work with other engineers to perform feasibility studies, develop models, and specify hardware and equipment
• Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and other project-related expenses. 
• Prepare comprehensive proposals and quotes for clients. 
• Collaborate with sales team members to understand client needs and provide accurate pricing information. 
• Maintain a database of cost data and pricing information. 
• Track project costs and ensure they align with the approved estimates. 
• Participate in sales meetings and presentations as needed. 
• Identify opportunities to improve the estimation process and reduce costs. 

 
Qualifications:

• Proven experience in sales estimation or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Automotive industry knowledge or experience required
• Qualification in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering
