Job Description

SENIOR LECTURER: ANTHROPOLOGY KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Contribute to faculty academic department learning & research. Financial Planning & Budgeting. Organisational Unit Staff Management. Teaching execution. Post Graduate Research Supervision. Research Execution. Teaching & Learning Integrated Community Engagement. International Academic & Research Program Collaboration. Academic Programme Coordination. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A relevant Doctoral Degree. At least 3 years experience in higher education. Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in the area of Anthropology. A record of accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer. Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters/Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer. ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES: Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning. Evidence of successful external fundraising for research. Evidence of supporting early career academics. Recognition in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating). Evidence of networking and collaboration beyond one institution in research and/or teaching. Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning. Evidence of postgraduate teaching or supervision experience. Evidence of accredited research publications. Evidence of successful fundraising for research. Evidence of participation in networking and collaboration in research and/or teaching.
