About the Role
A leading player in the resource recovery and waste management industry is seeking a dynamic Branch Manager to oversee operations at one of their key facilities. This role requires a hands-on professional who can balance operational excellence with commercial growth, ensuring the branch meets its production targets while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring optimal productivity and resource allocation.
- Oversee the branchs budget, manage costs, and drive profitability through effective procurement and sales strategies.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the site operates in full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and industry-specific legislation.
- Coordinate the movement of materials, ensuring efficient intake and dispatch processes to meet client demands.
- Maintain and grow relationships with local suppliers and industrial partners to ensure a steady pipeline of materials.
Requirements
- Minimum of 58 years in a management role within the industrial, manufacturing, or recycling sectors.
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery, logistics, and scrap metal/Paper or waste processing operations.
- Proven ability to manage P&L, excellent negotiation skills, and a “safety-first” mindset.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Business Management, Operations, or Engineering is highly preferred.
