About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Officer to join our team at eThekwini, a global leader in the manufacturing and specialty chemicals industry. As an HR Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll and benefits support, compliance and reporting, and training and development. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job postings and screening to coordinating interviews and facilitating a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and labor legislation.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of performance appraisal systems to drive employee engagement and development.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate data entry for payroll processing and the administration of employee benefits.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all HR activities comply with local labor laws and health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within a Chemicals environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of local labor laws and best practices in HR.

- A Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
