About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our hospitality property by coordinating and managing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods and supplies. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate deliveries, collections, and transportation of goods to and from the property
- Manage supplier schedules and ensure timely delivery of stock
- Track orders and resolve any delays or discrepancies
- Oversee receiving, checking, and recording of incoming goods
- Monitor stock levels across departments (kitchen, bar, housekeeping, maintenance)
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances
- Maintain accurate inventory records and systems
- Ensure proper storage conditions and stock rotation (FIFO principles)
- Assist with sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes
- Place orders in line with procurement policies
- Maintain supplier relationships and performance records
- Coordinate company vehicles for staff, guest transfers, and deliveries
- Monitor vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and fuel consumption
- Prepare weekly/monthly logistics and stock reports
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or related field
- 24 years experience in logistics, stock control, or procurement (hospitality experience preferred)
- Experience in lodges, hotels, or remote properties is advantageous
- Valid drivers license (Code B or higher)
