About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our hospitality property by coordinating and managing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate deliveries, collections, and transportation of goods to and from the property
- Manage supplier schedules and ensure timely delivery of stock
- Track orders and resolve any delays or discrepancies
- Oversee receiving, checking, and recording of incoming goods
- Monitor stock levels across departments (kitchen, bar, housekeeping, maintenance)
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances
- Maintain accurate inventory records and systems
- Ensure proper storage conditions and stock rotation (FIFO principles)
- Assist with sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes
- Place orders in line with procurement policies
- Maintain supplier relationships and performance records
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing practices
- Coordinate company vehicles for staff, guest transfers, and deliveries
- Monitor vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and fuel consumption
- Maintain delivery logs, invoices, and stock documentation
- Prepare weekly/monthly logistics and stock reports
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or related field
- 24 years experience in logistics, stock control, or procurement (hospitality experience preferred)
- Experience in lodges, hotels, or remote properties is advantageous
- Valid drivers license (Code B or higher)
