Job Description

About the Role

Our client, market leader in the automotive manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join their team based close to La Mercy. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal availability, reliability, and safe operation of plant, equipment, and facilities, while leading the maintenance team to support uninterrupted production and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities
Ensure maximum equipment uptime and availability to support production targets
Monitor and manage maintenance team attendance, productivity, and shift performance
Allocate and optimise resources, including labour, spares, tools, and contractors
Ensure correct operation, servicing, and repair of plant, machinery, and production equipment

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Maintenance Supervisor role within an automotive or manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate Excel skills
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 standards
Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) Millwright/Electrical Trade Test Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering would be advantageous
