Job Description

About the Role

A well-established mine based in Free State is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to join their highly engaged and dynamic workforce. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical operations, ensuring efficient maintenance, and driving production excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day mechanical operations
Conduct regular site inspections and maintenance planning
Supervise and mentor junior engineers
Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes
Implement and enforce quality control procedures

Requirements

Valid Mechanical Trade Test Certificate (Section 13 or Section 26D)
Relevant Foreman Certificate
National N3 Certificate or higher with suitable mechanical background
At least 5 years mining experience (metallurgical plant)
Minimum 3 years experience in a Supervisory role
Medically fit to work in the specific business area
Valid drivers license

Qualifications

Completed relevant degree or diploma in mechanical engineering
National N3 Certificate or higher with suitable mechanical background
