Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and organised Transport Controller to manage daily transport operations for a busy transport broker working with multiple clients and owner-drivers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching trucks remotely, monitoring pick-ups and deliveries, and communicating with drivers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch trucks remotely
  • Monitor pick-ups and deliveries (port destination)
  • Communicate daily with drivers and clients
  • Collect and manage Proof of Delivery (PODs)
  • Update systems and WhatsApp groups in real time
  • Do bookings (Navis / Transnet experience an advantage)

Requirements

  • Own reliable transport
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, Email)
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Willing to work flexible hours (MonSat, may include Sundays & public holidays)

Qualifications

  • Navis / Transnet system knowledge
  • Experience working with drivers and multiple clients
