Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical installations for solar PV systems (3kW to 100kW+)
- AC & DC wiring, DB board configurations, inverter and battery connections
- Fault finding, testing, and commissioning of solar systems
- Conduct inspections and issue Certificates of Compliance (CoC)
- Ensure installations meet industry, client, and legislative standards
- Manage junior electricians or subcontractors when required
- Maintain safety and quality standards on all job sites
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Installation Electrician (Red Seal Trade Test)
- Wireman’s Licence (3-Phase)
- Valid PV Green Card (advantageous)
- Proven experience in solar PV installations (residential and commercial)
- Comfortable working on rooftops, with heights certification being advantageous
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Must be based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate
