About the Role
Letshalo HR is seeking an experienced and organized Admissions Secretary to join our team. As a key member of our admissions process, you will be responsible for ensuring that all applications are processed efficiently and effectively. With excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge of office operations, you will provide exceptional support to parents and learners alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply GDE and school rules relating to the admissions process, assessing the quality of applicants and making decisions regarding acceptance or otherwise
- Provide information and answer queries regarding the admissions process
- Attend GDE meeting regarding the school’s admissions
- Deal directly with the GDE regarding the placement of learners
- Manage school waiting lists
- Contact feeder (and previous) schools to ensure fee payments are up to date for prospective pupils
- Contact parents to ensure that enrolment fees are paid (Grades 0-7)
- Load and maintain details of pupils and parents on Pencil box
- Manage Learner Profiles (outgoing and incoming) and Transfer Cards
- Deal with and distribute flyers
- Intercom announcements
- Maintain registers for late comers and early leavers
Requirements
- National senior certificate/ Grade 12
- Diploma in administration or related field
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong knowledge of office operations
- Strong computer skills
- Administration and communication skills
