Market Intelligence & Forecasting

• Establish market size for building glass products in South Africa and neighboring countries.
• Develop and refine statistical models to improve short- and medium-term glass consumption forecasts.
• Identify leading economic indicators to enhance market trend predictions.

Data & Business Insights

• Build and maintain a glass import tracking system for Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Conduct in-depth cost analysis of imported glass to optimize pricing strategies.
• Benchmark global pricing trends to guide export sales and procurement decisions.

Strategic Planning & Compliance

• Analyze market share and recommend strategies to enhance competitive positioning.
• Support regulatory compliance by identifying import data anomalies and assisting SARS in targeted investigations.
• Develop tools and dashboards for data visualization and strategic decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

• BCom with majors in Computer Science and Economics (strong statistical knowledge is a plus).
• Grade 12 qualification.

Knowledge & Expertise:

• Experience structuring and analyzing large datasets.
• Expertise in statistical forecasting, data modeling, and market research.
• Understanding of macroeconomic trends and their impact on market dynamics.
• Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard development.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 8 years in an analytical role (sales, marketing, or planning experience advantageous).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Technical expertise in SQL, Excel, and BI tools.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills.
