Job Description
– Record and allocate inter-branch and inter-company notes accurately and obtain monthly
approval of all notes.
– Perform reconciliations accurately and timeously, ensuring that all balances agree.
– Complete all monthly ledger reconciliations within prescribed deadlines and in compliance
with relevant standards and follow up on and resolve outstanding items.
– Complete monthly cell phone reconciliations accurately and allocate all amounts correctly.
– Support employees with new cell phone contracts, upgrades, damaged or lost devices,
outstanding accounts, and other cell phone-related queries.
– Obtain approval for all journals from the relevant departmental heads.
– Prepare journals with appropriate descriptions and supporting documentation, where
required.
– Process and allocate journals correctly in the accounting system.
– Prepare all year-end schedules within deadlines, ensuring that information is accurate and
reconciles to the general ledger.
– Verify that all supporting information is accurate and reconciles to the general ledger.
– Assist internal and external auditors by preparing and providing information and schedules as
required
– Manage the company fleet, including vehicle maintenance and related administrative
requirements.
– Administer and control petrol cards and company credit cards in accordance with company
policies.
– Prepare and maintain daily KPA reporting.
– Maintain and manage the fixed assets register, including additions, disposals, and
reconciliations.
– Perform daily bank reconciliations accurately and timeously.
Minimum Requirements
– A relevant accounting qualification or a related discipline
– Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant accounting experience
– High level of attention to detail and accuracy
– Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
– Strong results orientation with a commitment to meeting objectives
– Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
– Well-developed planning and organisational skills
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
